Inline book production with varying page-count from a continuous paper web to the finished product for either thread binding or perfect binding using Meccanotecnica production technology. The UW6 unwind module roll-feeds the web cross-cutting module for sheet collation into 4-, 8-, 12-, and 16 page signatures. Gauze and end-sheet gluing is supported for hard-cover production, while spine milling and cover feeding are provided for soft-cover production. Barcode control allows nipping jaws to adjust for variable book thickness.
